Fashion, Diamonds, and Bubbly - that's how we kickstarted the 20th season of Kansas City Fashion Week at Diamonds Direct! I have lost track of how many seasons I have covered of KCFW as Official Media, but I can tell you that the love story is still strong. After a long gap, the runway shows of KCFW were back at Union Station, Kansas City, on Wednesday, April 13! The runway shows continued to Saturday, April 16. There’s something about that runway experience that compares to none other.
What do you wear to Fashion Week? Or as I put it, definitely KC's most fashionable week. I decided to be an Outfit-Repeater. Why, of course. It's a dress I had worn for a different season, different year of KCFw, but style dit very differently this time. I decided to opt for some dark florals and seems like KCFW had the same idea. If you like my outfit, then I have linked it on my @shop.ltk
From designer previews to diamonds shining bright, from the clink of the bubbly flutes to the laughter, the media night of KCFW was a lot of fun.
Jo Hartley of Little Jo Designs is definitely one of my favorite KCFW designers. She is also an amazing photographer and a great human being. Her current collection is inspired by fairy tales and you cant, miss that. The play of tulle and the structured bodice, make it perfect for a modern fairy tale. Maybe someday I wear my own Little Jo Designs piece.
Kyndra Jade spells romance through her creations. "What Dreams Are Made Of," is her latest collection for KCFW. Give me all the blush vibes and all the angel wings.
Iron Togs is inspired by the Spaghetti Westerns! And we both love Dolly Parton!
Cicada Camp Co is inspired by Summer camps and apparel patterns. Her collection is a part of her capstone project for the University of Kansas! Rock Chalk!
Naava Swim getting us all ready for the pool season and beach holidays!
Shop Mad House is inspired by Summer Fun! Lots of bright colors on cue.
Maison Minh created a beautiful juxtaposition of light and dark. And House of Pamela Renee brought all the drama with her play on monochrome.
