Barham Family Farm. If you are in the KC metro area, and dine out, then there's high possibility that you have tasted products from the farm. For example,
Brookside Poultry Company is the perfect example of this edition of farm-to-table dining.
Barham Family Farm supply many of KC's top chefs with pasture-raised, non-GMO Black Angus Beef, chicken, pork, lamb, and my favorite -duck eggs! Now you can shop at the Barham Family Farm Store, located in Kearney, MO. It's open every Thursday and Friday - 9 am to 6 pm, and Saturday - 9 am - 3pm. They are however closed Thanksgiving day, and Nov 26-27, 2021. Or you can even have the farm products delivered to your home.
We visited the Barham Family Farm Store recently and started our Thanksgiving shopping early. Tasted some amazing charcuterie, all from the farm, and had a chat with farmer Kenny and a few local foodies!
Most of you locally know me as a dog mom, but very few know that I love cats equally. My parents had cats and dogs while we grew up. So it was a bonus to hang out withTuxedo, the farm cat and his crew after our shopping session at the farm store. I can tell you that I almost tempted to bring one of the kittens homes.
And who can forget the famous goats of Barham Family Farm! They have a mini petting zoo, for all the kids who visit the farm store with their parents. It was a beautiful morning, spent at the farm. Knowing where my food is from is so incredible. I am so glad we got to share this moment with Rii!
