The temps have been dipping down for some days now, and yesterday we also had our first flurries! Add to that recovering from the end of daylight saving, and I needed a pick me up. Well, we both needed, me and hubs. So we took a break from our respective work schedules and sneaked out on a day-date. The idea was to sample the new menu at Cultivare: Grains and Greens in Overland Park, Kansas. They have been redefining fast causal dining in the KC metro area with their emphasis on grains and greens.
Cultivare might have opened during the endemic, but they have ben going strong. They opened a second location, in the food hall - Parlor, in the Crossroads Art District. I had fallen in love with the Chimichurri Steak Sliders at the new locations. Guess what, now the Overland Park location has not only Chimichurri Steak Paninis and Steak Chmichurri Bowl! How cool is that! The new menu at Cultivare features not one not two, but four different Paninis:
BLTA: Bacon, Signature lettuce blend, tomato, avocado & provolone
California Chicken: Chicken breast, napa cabbage, tomato, avocado & chipotle ranch
Caprese: Fresh mozzarella, tomato, spinach, basil & balsamic (Vegetarian)
Steak Chimichurri: Marinated steak, grilled pepper + onions, provolone & chimichurri sauce
All served on sour dough bread from Farm To Market Bread . I am tempted to try all four paninis in my upcoming visits.
I had paired my steak with their Red Pepper Bisque with Smoked Gouda and I had Fall dinner perfection!
The emphasis is on comfort, this season at Cultivare! If you are in the KC metro area, make sure you try out the new menu at Cultivare!
