It's time for a recap of Thursday night runway shows of Kansas City Fashion Week FW'21!
The first designer for the evening was Hols.E with her curated collection of resort wear, defining neutrals in its signature way. A variety of fits- from crochet dresses to oversized jackets, and she was ready to dress you for your next vacation.
The second showcase of the evening was Kindred, which is a local boutique collective. Trends spotted were definitely straight leg denim, peplum tops, sweater vests and interesting cut outs. Loved how Kindred had outfit options for those of us who are petite and have mom-bods!
The third designer of the evening was House of Solana. The motto for House of Solana is the thrive of lavish, beauty, and style. House of Solana is for women that want to look and feel beautiful, for the woman that wants to be fierce from day to night, as well as for the woman who loves the simple look with a twist. House of Solana knows her textiles, and how they can be accented with textures. Also, both brown and pink are big for Fall-Winter!
The fourth designer of the evening was Kyndra Jade- the queen of whimsy! She creates an ethereal aura with her outfits, which are borderline magic and fashion! Unique silhouettes that push the creative boundaries using layers of ruffles, tulle, and organza.
The fifth designer of the evening was KCFW veteran Lauren Bander! I have watched many a collections of Lauren, and she outdoes herself every time. Combining her three passions in life: fashion, animals, and mental health advocacy she is using her talents and love of fashion to bring awareness to animal rescue and helping to normalize the conversation of mental health. Yes, she had puppies on the runway, which had the fashion-lover and dog-mom, inn me, go weak in the knees. Also did you spot Chewology, chef -owner on the runway!
I am a mom of a black rescue dog! And I know that they are the underdogs of the rescue world. Thanks KCFW, Lauren Bander and Unleashed Pet Rescue for highlighting the underdogs of the rescue world. Adopt Don't Shop, please!
The next designer of the evening was Makaylee Gayed who designs high-quality lifestyle apparel for powerful women and encourages them through versatile confidence. Loved the beautiful draping and relaxed fits she brought forth. She also proved how powerful leather can be on the FW runway.
The finale designer for Thursday Night runway shows of KCFW was Ying Ying Yang! Modern and edgy streetwear which makes a statement. In Hindu mythology, the third eye has a huge significance. All the eye motifs in their line, were clearly making a statement. And that's a wrap for Thursdays night - stay tuned for a recap of Friday night of runway show of KCFW FW 21.
