CHICKEN, APPLE & ONION PUFF PASTRY SQUARES
Ingredients:
Puff Pastry Squares/ Puff Pastry Sheet: 12 squares
Chicken: 1/2 lb, Cut into cubes
Red Onion: 1/4 large, finely sliced
Apple: I large, finely sliced into half-moons
Lemon Juice: 2- 3 tbsp
Garlic Powder: 1 -2 tsp
Paprika: 1/2 - 1 tsp
Salt: to taste
Egg: 1
Shredded Cheese: 1/4 - 1/4 cup (We used Cheddar, as that is what we had at home)
Butter: 1/2 stick
Procedure:
Marinate the apple slices with lemon juice, so that they don't lose their color.
Marinate the chicken with salt, garlic powder, paprika, for at least an hour.
In a nonstick pan, add some butter and saute the sliced onion, till they turn translucent. Remove and keep aside.
In the same pan, fry the chicken, on medium heat, till its cooked through. Keep aside.
Drain any moisture from the marinated apples!
Pre-heat the oven to 350F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and line your puff pastry squares. Brush with an egg wash.

Bake the puff pastry squares for 8-10 minutes, till they are golden. Remove from oven.
Now is the time to assemble your puff pastry squares! Add in apple slices, chicken, onion, and shredded cheese to each square. Bake at 350 F again for around 3-5 mins. Bon Appetit! Go Chiefs!
