KCFW is back and with this biggest season ever. Its the 10th Runway season of Kansas City Fashion Week and the week long celebration of fashion, kicked off last Sunday at the Van Noy Mansion. Blame my crazy schedule, and I missed out on the first two days. But the 3rd night saw me in my element in true KCFW form. I was invited for a KCFW Spring Summer '17kick off/preview at Anaphora and Post Edit in Prairie Fire, in Overland Park . And I was all set to usher in the new season.
As it was an in store event, spanning across two boutiques - Anaphora and Post Edit, I decided to keep my outfit a bit casual yet chic. It was a beautiful fall evening so I picked out a fit and flare dress. Its always tricky to wear florals in Fall, according to many. But I feel if you pair it with season appropriate accessories and pick out a color scheme more apt, you dont look or feel out of tune. The crisp evenings of Fall were an inspiration for my icy blue floral fita nd flare dress. I paired it with my Denim jacket which was tailored pretty well. How a jacket fits you, can make or break an outfit, I believe. My problem area is my midriff, or my post baby flab. So I always try to dress up in a way, where the attention is elsewhere. Some crystal Forget -ME -Nots which I had picked out from Anchorage, during my last visit to Alaska. Its their state flower after all. To break the overriding blue monotony of my outfit, I paired it with Black quilted Booties(very Chanel inspired) and my Black leather Tote Bag.
